The addition of Gold Coast City Marina & Shipyard marks a significant expansion of the d’Albora network in Southeast Queensland, strengthening our ability to support members with specialised marine services that cater for vessels up to 75m.
Recognised as one of Australia’s leading full-service marina and shipyard refit destinations, GCCM brings advanced capability in superyacht servicing, refits and large-scale marine operations. With over 80 marine businesses onsite, it provides members with access to a highly established and trusted marine services hub. The facility also features a 200-berth marina, 300-vessel dry stack, 24/7 fuel and onsite food and beverage.
As part of this transition, Darrell Barnett has been appointed General Manager, CMM (Certified Marina Manager) and board member of MIA (Marine Industry Association), bringing extensive industry experience and leadership to the facility. He is supported by Paul Vernon, whose 25+ years across boat building, engineering, and shipyard management will further enhance operational capability and service delivery.
For members, this means greater access to specialised expertise, improved service capability across Southeast Queensland and stronger connectivity between key locations. The acquisition also complements the continued development at Pacific Point Marina & Boatyard, which is expanding to include a major commercial marine precinct and increased capacity, just a 15min drive north.
Together, these investments reinforce d’Albora’s commitment to long-term growth, operational excellence and delivering a higher level of service across the network.
