DRY STACK BOAT STORAGE

Dry stack locations-

Dry stack storage is like valet parking for your boat. Instead of sitting on a trailer or in the water, your vessel is professionally lifted, rinsed, and securely stored in a covered rack until you’re ready to head out again.

When it’s time to hit the water again, your boat is launched for you — no towing, no ramp queues, and no lengthy preparation, simply walk on and walk off.
Dry stack storage delivers convenience, protection, and smarter boating — so you can spend less time managing your boat and more time enjoying it.

  • More Time on the Water
Arrive, step aboard, and go. Your boat is launched and ready when you are all year round – walk on and walk off service
  • Cost Savings
Reduce ongoing maintenance, fuel towing costs, trailer wear and tear, and avoid antifouling expenses associated with in-water storage.
  • Better Protection
Covered rack storage shields your vessel from harsh sun, weather exposure, and marine growth — helping preserve performance, appearance, and resale value.
  • Less Hassle
No reversing trailers, no waiting at busy boat ramps, and no post-trip wash-downs — it’s all handled for you.

Dry stack boat storage FAQs

Answers to common questions about covered rack storage, vessel suitability, launch requests, pricing and d’Albora dry stack locations.

What is dry stack boat storage?

Dry stack storage keeps your boat out of the water in a purpose-built storage rack. The marina team uses specialist lifting equipment to retrieve and launch the vessel when required, then returns it to its allocated storage position after use.

How do I request a launch time for my boat?

Simply open the d’Albora app on your phone and select “Launch My Vessel”. You can choose your preferred launch time and complete the request within a few taps. All d’Albora members receive access to the members app.

Where does d’Albora offer dry stack storage?

d’Albora dry stack facilities are available at East Coast Marina in Manly, Gold Coast City Marina & Shipyard in Coomera, Pacific Point Marina & Boatyard near Jacobs Well, Akuna Bay Marina in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, Boatyard Martha Cove in Safety Beach and Pier 35 Marina in Port Melbourne.

What boats are suitable for dry stack storage?

Dry stack storage is generally suited to trailerable powerboats that fit within the rack and lifting limits at the selected facility. Suitability depends on the vessel’s overall length, beam, height, weight, hull design and fixed equipment. The marina team will assess your vessel before confirming a storage space.

How does launching my boat work?

Use the d'Albora App to select your launch time. Once your launch request has been confirmed, the marina team retrieves your boat from its storage rack using specialist lifting equipment and places it in the water, ready for your planned departure.

What happens when I return from boating?

Follow the return instructions provided by your chosen facility. The marina team will retrieve your vessel and return it to its allocated storage rack. Rinsing, wash-down and engine-flush arrangements vary between locations, so confirm the services included at your marina.

Is dry stack storage covered and secure?

The six facilities featured on this page provide covered or fully enclosed rack storage. Site access, monitoring and operating arrangements vary by location. The local marina team can explain the security and access procedures for your chosen facility.

Can dry stack storage reduce boat maintenance?

Keeping your vessel out of the water between trips can reduce marine growth and prolonged exposure to saltwater, sun and weather. Maintenance requirements still depend on the vessel, engine and usage, and owners should continue to follow the manufacturer’s service recommendations.

Are fuel and boatyard services available?

Participating locations form part of full marina or boatyard precincts, with fuel, maintenance and marine trades available at many facilities. Available services, operating hours and booking requirements vary, so check the individual marina page or contact the local team.

How much does dry stack boat storage cost?

Pricing depends on the selected location, vessel dimensions, storage term and current availability. Contact d’Albora with your preferred facility and complete vessel details to receive an accurate quote.

How do I enquire about a dry stack space?

Submit a dry stack enquiry or call 1800 DALBORA (32 52 672). Include your preferred location, boat make and model, overall length, beam, height, weight and desired start date so the marina team can assess vessel suitability and current availability.
